Le Grand Voyage

I went to see this movie - Le Grand Voyage (french and arab) and I love it. Well, that is if you like art house movie. I wont spoilt the suspences and will just advise you to go catch the movie when you can. Undeniable, the main actor is pretty cute. ;)

Work has been getting on pretty alright. Did had some hipcup over work last saturday but I think I can solve it alright.

Social wise, haven't been mixing too much with a wide circle of friends. In fact, the other day I was walking home from work and I just thought I would call some friends for some casual chats and as I flip through my phone list - hey... there's isnt much people to call too. How pathetic.... Yeah, it's time to widen the social circle again.... But I am just not interested in keying in any phone number at its' first opportunity. I like to have friends whom I can share my heart out. Good friends are hard to find, even harder to keep.

Perhaps I am on my grand voyage too!

I went to watch da vinci code on sunday and I am somewhat dissapointed with the movie. I think the book is so much more better than the movie. There's just space for your little extra imagination and I think the movie left out a number important part of the book. (like phi, etc)

There are so many controversies about the movie that I think it's really a good read for those wanting to find the truth. ;) Like we all know - the truth is out there.

Morning

Moi (aloud): Is it confirmed that we gonna order for 2000 pieces?
Boss: yes... yes.. do it now. We need to get people to send the forms to the bank.
Moi: Ok... I think...
Colleague 1: Oh want to wire money, I will fill up the form....
Moi (thinking): .......

So I proceed to continue doing all my paper work and emailing and calling my supplier and somehow she just make my life difficult.

Moi: Are you going to do a P/O for me? (to colleague 1)
Colleague: Oh... you got to do it yourself.
Moi: I have no access to the system though.
Colleague: You just do simple one using excel!
Moi: Ok.. no pro...

So I was rushing to finish everything before lunch hour... so that she could get the things ready for the bank.

After lunch

Walking back into the office, I noticed that the forms still not filled up and she was doing everything but my form.

Moi: Have you done it?
Colleague 1: Oh not yet...
Moi (to my boss): Are we rushing for the TT today?
Boss: Yes yes.. better do it now.

Colleague 1: Oh... ca va, can you help me do something. You fill up this form... and then you call this number and ...... Here is a sample ok?
Moi: Ok.. ok... (cursing away.... bloody hell) You might as well just pass it all to me this morning and would have finished with it already...

I was like.... you keep hogging all the work and in the last minute.... others has to suffer and stress out in the last minute.... SO NECCESSARY........

Anyway, everything is done now... and I have a meeting to to attend to again later.

Live from LA.

Not really live...

I am back in KL last Sunday and guess what, for the first time in my life, I lost a day! I took my flight on Friday night and reached here, Sunday afternoon. Well, normally, I travel through Europe. A word of caution for travellers from US. Do get to the airport 4 hours before time. We spent more than 2 hours checking in - there are just queues, queues, queues to go through.

Ah... I managed to meet up with my friend, the one I blogged about earlier. It went on very well.

*on the phone*
Me: Hey Jenny?
Ami 1: Who is this?
Me: XXXXX
Ami : You are in LA?
Me: Huh??? How do you know?
Ami: I just know *laughs*
Me: Hey I am staying in Anaheim now and I gonna move to town tomorrow... Do you guys wanna meet up for a drink sometimes?
Ami: Sure... where?
Me: I will let you know once I got to town.

So I met up with them and yeah everything went pretty cool. I guess I was thinking too much earlier. We talked and had coffee and somehowI feel that she could have got herself someone nicer... Just my stupid sixth sense!

In term of business, everything went on well. The fair was cool and tiring, the meetings with our suppliers and clients seemed to be most enlightening as well. I did went aound visiting California - Disneyland, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Thail town, Chinatown, downtown.. bla bla bla. Will post up some pictures later. Did I tell you I saw the gates leading to Tom Cruise's house? Oh madonna as well. Did some shopping spree too... and got mum a mother's day present from the states!

Ok.. just some short updates. Busy connecting to ppl across timezone for work now..

On a mission

Something which I kinda regret that happened between me and a form 5 classmate, a couple of years back. I am going to amend it this time when I am in LA.

Moi: It's good to reconnect with you. It has been sometimes. How's life in LA?
Ami: ... Not so good.
Moi: Oh what happened.
Ami: I intended to move out of my uncle's place.
Moi: I see. Must be pretty hard... What's stopping you?
Ami: Well, a lot of things.

and that happened for a while... and we lost touch over the net. I think she is dissapointed with me. A year later, I heard from my other friends she married the guy whom we talked about earlier. I just got her contact numbers from a friend of mine and I gonna do:
