A day in history

Exactly a year ago on this date, I passed through the following lac. (Lac de St. Cassien, Var). It was snowing and the whole journey in the car was like having cotton puffs being thrown at your face.

I miss Europe and France very much. I saw the weather report and it says that it gonna snow in Cannes and du Var again this Friday.

Ca va, merci!

Havent been posting for a few days. In fact, I was thinking what should I write about. yes, it's one of those weeks when you are just wondering, what should I be blogging about. I guess I would put up some conversation pieces just to show what has been happening in my life.

Conversation 1 ( in a pub)
Colleague 1: Yum Sheng...
Moi: Yum...... * glop glop glop*....
Colleague 2: Yum.....
Moi: yum.... *glop glop glop*....
Colleague 3: Cheers.......
Moi: *glass clashing*
Colleague 1: la la la... we......
Moi: yum......

At the end of the night, I think I drank at least 10 glasses of beer! and I still am walking in a straight line. I didnt spend my years in France drinking only Volvic and Evian, you know!

Conversation 2
Ami 1: Ca va pas?
Moi: hey....
Ami 1: Where are you?
Moi: Where else? office...
Ami 1: I tell you, Guess having sales... very very 'dai' Go check it out. I just bought a jean and a shirt.
Moi: I will run to the boutique immediately after work.
Ami 1: ok. Go go go.. Shop till you drop!

Conversation 3
Ami 1 : Ca va pas?
Moi: Yo, what's up?
Ami 1: Have you managed to go to Guess?
Moi: No.. I am having sorethroat...
Ami 1: Ok, do go alright. Very 'dai'

Ami 1: Hey I am in KL now.... and Corum is having a sales. Very very dai... if you are eyeing some nice and branded watches, this is the time!
Moi: ok.. I will check them out if I am around there.

Conversation 4 (At MPH warehouse sales)
Moi: What a rip-off. This is not a clearance sales. It's only 30% off after a minimum purchase!
Sister: It's better than nothing, right?
Moi: That's true! Hey, I am buying this book. I have been eyeing it for sometimes now.
Sister: A year in the merde?
Moi: Yes... it's pretty good, I think.
Sister: Ok....

Conversation 5
Moi: Mum, are you having sorethroat too now?
Mum: It's all your fault!
Moi: Duh!!!!!

Nuovo Cinema Paradiso - the movie

This got to be one of my most favourite movie.

"Once...a king gave a feast for the loveliest princesses in the realm.
Now, a soldier who was standing guard saw the king's daughter go by.
She was the most beautiful of all and he fell instantly in love.
But what is a simple soldier next to the daughter of a king?
At last he succeeded in meeting her, and he told her he could no longer live without her.
The princess was so taken by the depth of his feeling that she said to the soldier,
"If you can wait for 100 days and 100 nights under my balcony, at the end of it I shall be yours."
With that the soldier went and waited one day... two days... then ten... then twenty.
Each evening the princess looked out, and he never moved!
In rain, in wind, in snow, he was always there!
Birds shat on his head, bees stung him- but he didn't budge.
At the end of ninety nights he had become all dry, all white.
Tears streamed from his eyes.
He couldn't hold them back.
He didn't even have the strength to sleep.
And all that time, the princess watched him.
At long last, it was the 99th night... and the soldier stood up, took his chair and left."

Lame....

Ca va pas la tete's lame-ass excuse to break up:

"I don't like loose ends"

'What" is your lame-ass excuse to break up?' at QuizGalaxy.com

I really havent been doing a lot of things lately except swimming and Sudoku. Unfortunately there is nothing to google at the pool. Nope, I haven't bumped into Etienne in the swimming pool yet. Darn... else it would be so telling right. These are the things which I would do to attract his attention at the pool:-

1. Pretend drowning, but that would be really telling because the pool is only 1.35 m deep and I am 1.75 m.

2. Swim like a dolphin, but my friends called me 'dugong' when I swim. Sigh

3. Wear a huge sunglass, have a cocktail in my hand while sunbathing in the pool, but where do I get people to service me with drink and such?

4. Swim the butterfly style all over the pool and just bump into him everytime I make any turns, and apologise to him and said - "sorry", "ops" and give nice sweet smile.

5. Tell him he swims like a fish and ask him to be my coach!

Ohhh..... I cant wait to meet MY etienne at the pool!

What a quiet day!

I am mentally tired today. I had so many dreams last night but I can't remember anything now.

Since I really dont have much to say today, I thought I will post a picture of the Euro Fun Fair here in Bandar Utama, last December.

Ah oui, etienne seems to be quite please for the pose!

More pictures coming up!

Etienne et Moi

What a morning!

Woke up, and dread myself to work but things just got more and more interesting. I bumped into the cute guy who is staying in the same condo as I am. And he is still looking as good as hell - torn jean, blue t-shirt, backpack and messy spiky hair. He was chewing on a piece of bread... Wow Wow Wow. After the sighting, the stroll to my office was just like the 'meg ryan strolling to the new york walkway in 'You got mail' (with the music of 'Dreams' by The Cranberries', mind you)

Well, today, I would like to introduce to you, my travelling pal - Etienne. Gosh, I really need to get a life!!!

and this is our posting on Carcassonne. It's a Cité Médiévale at the South of France.

I think I gonna call that cute guy - Etienne. Nice right?

The V Day!

Happy Valentine's Day.

Well, What would valentine's day be if you do not have a lover? Find out why do we celebrate Valentine's day here.

With the CNY and V-Day being so closed by, I think every single man is having a double dose of stress. "So, who is your date tonight? Where is your girlfriend? bla bla bla"

Had a conversation with a friend whom I haven't seen for the past 2 years over MSN.

Mr. D: So, how is life and work?"
Me : Life is so so and work is alrighto.
Mr. D: How is love life?
Me: Love life is close to zero but I am happy about it.
Mr. D: You should get a mate when you are still young.
Me: Well, I am not interested and furthermore, I have big plans.
Mr. D: Yes, be rich and have someone to share your wealth la.
Me: ha ha ha

then, as usual I continued my nuisances and rubbish talk till my friend decided to end the chat!

Mr. D: I need to go and I still think you should get a mate.
Me: I know but....
Mr. D: Take good care and find yourself someone.
Me: I will think about it
Mr. D: Ok bye.. I got to go back to work now.
Me: Alrighto. Work hard man.
Mr. D: Go and find a partner.
Me: hahahaha

I give up. After all this is not the first time we are talking about this!

p/s: My younger brother got a bouquet of roses from his admirer and he has a gf... We are so jealous!!!!

Interpretation

Here is a interpretation of my dream, according to a website

Church
To see the outside of the church in your dream, signifies sacredness and spiritual nourishment. It is representative of your value system and the things you hold sacred.

To dream that you are in a church, suggests that you are seeking for some spiritual enlightenment and guidance. You are looking to be uplifted in some way. Perhaps you have made some mistakes in the past which have set you back on your path toward your goals. With proper support, you will get on the right track again. Alternatively, it may also mean that you are questioning and debating your life path and where it is leading. You are reevaluating what you want to do.

War
To dream of a war, signifies disorder and chaos in your personal affairs. You also be experiencing some internal conflict or emotional struggle. You are feeling torn between aspects of yourself. Perhaps the dream may indicate that you are being overly aggressive or you are not being assertive enough.

Conclusion: Disorder! Unbalanced life

So, my next task would be to find out where is the unbalance in my life. Could it be I am still struggling to settle back into KL? Could it be my ongoing desire to return to Europe? Could it be my heart never did left France?

Anyway, I am working my way to retire in Europe! hehehe yeah... at least that should keep me going! and yes, I will try to enjoy my KL days too now but the weather of the last few days has been really really unbearable!!!!

Been playing with Google Earth and this is really cool. ;)

the end of the.....

I had this wierdest dream last night. It's about the end of the world.

Well, I was in New York (or at least it feels like it), attending to some functions. I wonder what function would that be now... Well, maybe it is gala or something or maybe I am just vacationing.

But I remembered this - spacecrafts falling from the sky, like it is the end of the world. Nope, I didnt see Tom Cruise running beside me though. Darn. Then, I saw Ultramen making their appearances fighting 'dont-know-what'! I also remembered all the huge buildings around me.

I also remembered running to a church and there were so many people gathered there. None were panicking. I dont know why.... but I was amazed with such calmness. I was hoping everything will be back to normal and feeling a bit uneasiness with the attitude of 'nothing's happening' when something huge is coming.

Then suddenly, I noticed myself shaking....

Darn.... my mum woke me up. "You gonna be late for work"

Yes, it's not the end of the world.. it's actually the end of my good night sleep!

Woof woof.

Today's the fifth day of chinese new year and yes, our office started their business today. Well, What have I done to get the right 'wan wan' for the doggie year?

1. My parents are in town to celebrate new year this year. Well, this is the first ever out of home, chinese new year celebration for them. For me, it's the first ever chinese new year in KL and the second year I was not at home to celebrate new year (last year being oversea). In KL, I didnt hear any firecrackers at all!!!! What a bummer!

Conclusion: You really feel the mood of new year in small town and KLCC was filled with migrant workers on the first day of CNY (I would say 80%)

2. Though we have some relatives here in KL, we didnt managed to do any visiting as we are all just being a lazy bum sleeping at home. I did win some money at the poker games. Yeah, apparently tigers are in for big money this year. I am also picking up my mahjong skill again. Haven't played for 2 years.

Conclusion: I gonna be rich rich rich!

3. Went swimming during the break and I really really need to practise more, in order not to the laughing stock of the neighbourhood family. Also played a game of bowling and my arm is still aching!

Resolution: be more active and sporty this year.

4. Took some pictures around town and drove all the way to take a peep at Putrajaya. I like it there- the roads are huge, the houses are beautiful and the buildings, well designed, I must say! Don't I just love crossing the bridges there?

To-do: Find a property there.

And few things I wanna do this weekend:

1. Grab some books from Borders since I have a 15% discount coupon.
2. Bake a cake since I promised a friend I would.
3. Get meself some proper swimming gear.
4. Transfer CDs to my ipod
5. Find myself a nice short pant
6. Get started on my business planning.
