Shocking

Sometimes I really dont know what to say about the head of a enterprise. My beloved boss decided to make some adjustments to our contract:-

1. Employees will not be allowed to be in the same industry for 2 years after you resign.
(Sigh... as if!!!)
2. Staff are not allowed to use the company phone for private matters.
(As if we have the privacy to do so)
3. Staff are not encouraged to be romantically involved with each other!!!
(Oh my good lord, the female staff here can be my aunts. Furthermore I am really really not interested)
4. the list will go on............................... and on.......

I also heard about the situation where some of the staff who came back late after lunch. He literally told these people that they were sucking his blood until it's all dry... even if it is just one minute!!! (Jaw dropped!!!)

Something we we had been sharing among ourselves has been make known to the boss. Hmm there must be a insider in the group!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hmmmmmm

Confirmed

I am confirmed going to Los Angeles. Yes, coming soon, this spring to LA --- me.

And from this website, you get a bit of history for LA ---

"The Spanish explorer Gaspar de Portolá visited the site in 1769. On Sept. 4, 1781, the Mexican provincial governor, Filipe de Neve, founded “El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de Los Angeles,” meaning “The Village of Our Lady, the Queen of the Angels.” The pueblo became the capital of the Mexican province, Alta California, and it was the last place to surrender to the United States at the time of the American occupation in 1847. By the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848, Mexico ceded California to the United States, and Los Angeles was incorporated as a city in 1850."

A lazy Saturday afternoon

Time: 5.15 pm
Location : Swimming pool, Condo
Casts: Moi, Etienne, fellow swimmers.

It was an hot Saturday afternoon and thus, taking a dip in the swimming pool is inevitable.

So, I was happily swimming around the pool when I saw this yellow shirt guy walking near to the pool. I looked up and behold, standing there beside the pool is my etienne. Oh.... Oh.... I can't remember if I was shocked, shy or what.. I just know, I dont know what to do.......... My arms and my legs refused to move.

I stopped paddling swimming and I guess with the sudden appearance of 'that someone who make me skipped a heartbeat' I nearly drown. Seeing the commotion in the pool, Etiene came to my rescue. He jump into the pool, wade to my rescue and offer me a hand..... Our eyes locked, he looked at me, I looked at him. I swear that everything else stopped around us (just like a romantic movies) Awwwwwwwwwhhhh

Okie the truth is It's just my fantasy - I saw him walking pass the pool twice. I was so tempted to splash some water at him and when he look at me, I will just swim like a butterfly gracefully round and round........

All that aside, seeing him was like a refreshing 'standing under a waterfall' effect, a stream in the desert, a toilet when u really need to go, a roti kosong when you didnt have any food for the past three days.

The second truth is my boss is telling me all the bad things about my co-workers which is really making me stressed out!!!!!!!! Argh... please don't tell me. I dont want to know.

RESOLUTION : Get to talk to Etienne and know him before I move out!

To risk is to be free

A poem by Janet Rand

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool,
To weep is to risk being called sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To expose feelings is to risk showing your true self.
To place your ideas and your dreams before the crowd is to risk being called naĭve.
To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.
But risk must be taken, because the greatest risk of life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow or love.
Chained by his attitude, he is a slave; he has fortified his freedom.
Only the person who risks is truly free.

the dawn of spring...

It's been a while since I last blogged. I guess I am doing alright.

1. Recommunicated with a long lost friend. Yeah I am happy about it. It has been a long while. I chatted with him over the phone in 2000 and now it is 2006. Wow. Time flies and we are still as chatty as before.

2. Getting ready to print my logo. I am planning to do a small business. Don't know how it will be but I am hopeful.

3. Making progress in narrowing the area where my new home will be. I am basically stucked in PJ. In fact, I am down to two houses at the moment and awaiting the best bargain. Yuppie. I have been going around every weekend to see houses for the past 2 months.

4. Getting a good agent to bargain the price for me.

5. Start dreaming or drawing a mental interior design of the new house(s).

6. A friend mentioned that he will be giving me a Yorkshire Terrier. I am really no good in taking care of people or animal but how can you resist a sweet cute little thing?

7. Invited to Italianne for a treat last saturday. Yum yum... The mussels are really good good good. (Plus there is one cute waiter there which enhanced the whole dinning experience) And the bread, oh oh.. the best in KL so far beside Sun Moulin!

8. Boss was out of the office the whole of last week. So, I was doing my work slowly and steadily and leaving the office on time every frigging day!

9. I bought a few Dvds - Ma mere, Casanova, Just like heaven, etc.

10. Watched V for Vendetta in I-Utama with two friends. It was good. Highly recommended! I wonder if the censorship board understand the whole story because it's very provocative and there are queer elements in the movie. So catch it before they start to snipe!

Oh.. before I forget. Happy spring 2006! (which will be tomorrow)

Cool joke!

It is a myth that when a son gets married and a new daughter in law arrives in the family, everything changes. Some daughters in law are well trained and well mannered!!!!!. They don't come to change the family, they are there to............

The new wife was being welcomed at the husband's home in a traditional manner. As expected she gave a speech:

"My dear family, I thank you for welcoming me in my new home and family",she said "Firstly, my being here does not mean that I would want to change your way of life, your routine. No, I will never do that, never in a million years".

"What do you mean my child?" Asked the father in law.

"What I mean dad is (looking at her father in law):

Those who used to wash dishes must carry on washing them.

Those who used to do the laundry must carry on doing it.

Those who cooked shouldn't stop at my account, and

those who used to clean should continue cleaning".

"Then what are you here for?" Asked the mother in law.

"As for me, my job is to entertain your son!"

Wierd, I would say!

I had another wierd dream this morning.

I was riding a bicycle with a colleague of mine. However, what is pretty funny was that using those bicycles we were able to go wherever we want to go. We end up riding up an apartment into a room. Seeing that we reached deadend. I decided to turn back.

Then, we were riding down passing through the balcony and I saw a huge tree downstair, beside a huge highway. However, on that tree, I saw a lot of watermelon. (with huge leaves as well). So I stopped and watched. Suddenly, I saw a man playing smart, trying to pluck the watermelon using his hands. He tried to swing around hoping to use his weight to break the stem.

In no time, he was swinging around like tarzan..... I was getting pretty worried because he came pretty closed to the traffics on the highway.... Well, the dream ended having the man smashed into a four wheel drive with blood flowing down the screen of the car. I really mean flowing.....

Hey, now thinking about it. I think there were two men hanging together to the swing!

INTERPRETATION

BLOOD - Essence. Life energy. Unfortunate love affairs. Severe disappointment.

BICYCLE - If a bicycle is a frequent mode of transportation in the dreamer's daily life, the bicyle may represent the self- much as cars represent the self for car owners. f balancing the bicycle, it may symbolise a need for increased balance in one's waking life. Bicyles also - due to the rhythmic motion made while riding them - can be metaphors for sexual activity. Fleeing from a pursuer while on a bike may symbolise fear of a sexual relationship. (from www.dreamdoctor.com)

CARS (accident) - A common symbol of the self, the “the direction we are headed in our lives.” Dreams of car accidents, as a rule, should not be considered literally precognitive. They are reflections of emotional “loss of control,” however, which causes excessive behaviors and erratic decisions in waking life. (from www.dreamdoctor.com)

TREES - Tree : Seeing a tree in general denotes happiness, abundance and good news but a sapling tree indicates poverty,a dead tree foretells unhappiness,a tree with leaves turning yellow tells of sickness.Climbing a tree foretells elevation in life and work, taking fruits from the tree indicates inheritance from elderly people. (from http://www.howisyourdaytoday.com/Dreams.htm)

WATERMELON - To see a watermelon in you dream, represents emotions of love, desire, lust, and fiery passion. Pregnant women or women on the verge of their menstrual cycle often dream of such fruits, as watermelons. Alternatively, watermelons may be associated with summertime ease, leisure, and relaxation. (from http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/w2.htm)

I must be really free and bored to have time to even interprete the dream.

Cost-friendly

Sometimes, bosses will do anything to cut cost. I wonder how much do they really save?

In preparation for the annual dinner
Boss: We will have a lucky draw and it will be cash.
Me: Cool
Boss: Yes, we will make coupons to sell to raise the cash
Me: Ohhhh
Boss: When our suppliers and our clients arrived, make sure you 'dui' them to buy all.
Me: Ohhhh....
Boss: Then, we dont have to spend a single cents...
Me: OK

Recently
Me: Argh... what a unbearable hot day!
Boss: Yeah lor... yeah lor. But dont you worry, when we move over to our new building, we will be much more comfortable
Me: Yeah, we will all have our OWN personal fan.
Boss:.... No lar *giving me the beady eyes look*

Charged up!

I am soooooooooo charged up now!

This morning, (yes, what a beautiful morning) the sun was out, the birds were chirping away... the flowers were blomming and the water flowing gracefully from the fountains... ahhhhhhhhh .
Reality check - there's no bambi and this is definitely not another disney made believe!

Well, I went down to have a short walk around the compound of the condo and guess what????? On my way going back to get ready for work...... I met MY Etienne. He was on this way out. Nicely combed 'messy look' hair (I bet I can do his hair with my hands next time), Sleepy eyes.... (yes, I can kiss those eyes the moment he wakes up) and his backpack. (Honey, is it too heavy for you?) He has an apple in his hands, half eaten! (that's right, I am better than the devil you know!).

He was so closed to me when I noticed him till I have no time to react, I dont even know where to focus (except the apple in his hand) so that I can take a photo memory of him. arghhhhhhhh I was so unprepared for this...

The best part, of course was, he held the door for me as I entered into the condo.

Thanks, honey... you make my day! Next time, my turn!

p/s: Sorry, no pictures yet!
